Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modelling
VOS Group uses CFD, a finite element analysis tool, for design problems that involve buoyancy-driven airflow and resultant air stratification and vehicle emissions. CFD is a powerful tool to create or verify alternative engineered solutions for design problems, the quantification of which can only be properly made using CFD analysis.
Software Tools Used
* CHAM Phoenics
* IES Virtual Environment (MicroFlo)
Typical Studies
* Thermal Comfort
* Natural Cooling and Heating Strategies
* Ventilation Systems (naturally and mechanically driven)
* Air Quality Analysis (car park ventilation)
