This facility was developed as a regional centre of excellence for health care quality, life long learning and international leadership in research in the United Arab Emirates. The facility particularly provides specialist Urology, Nephrology, Diabetes and Diagnostic Imaging Centre and is located within the Dubai Health Care City (DHCC) in Dubai. Vos were the designers of the mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, vertical transportation and fire services for the project. The project consisted of two five storey buildings linked via covered bridges and a Car Parking facility below ground. The buildings were serviced with full standby facilities for power and chilled water plant and included five Operating, procedure rooms and also contained a Brachy Therapy facility. The imaging department contained the latest CT and ultrasound imaging systems with their associated high level cooling requirements. the medical services consists =ed of full VIE Oxygen plant, vacuum, scavenging and medical air systems and plant This was a challenging project due to its location and the requirement to fast track the understanding of the local standards of industry, statutory services requirements and regulations, especially relating to fire services. Despite such complications was a complete success for Vos. |
