The Port Melbourne project involved mechanical, electrical, fire hydraulic and lift services within the existing fabric of the development. Storage areas were converted into production facilities to provide “cleanroom” standards to satisfy the requirements of the Diary Code. This project incorporated a variety of areas each having distinctly different demands of the services. The heavy washdown requirements impacted on the electrical and air conditioning systems, with the corrosive nature of areas, such as the bleacher facility, necessitating careful selection of equipment and plant. Refrigerated coolrooms requiring a consistent 4°C were documented.
