VOS group designed a water harvesting system at Penrith Rugby Leagues Club which involved installing a 100,000L rainwater tank to capture roof runoff from the eastern grandstand and use the water for toilet flushing. Modelling was undertaken using 30 years of rainfall data and showed that the proposed harvesting system will meet the potable demand approximately 32% of the time. As part of the design VOS prepared a successful grant application to receive funding from Sydney Water’s Business Water Saver Grant Program. Electrical and fire services were also provided as part of the project. |
