Mark Griffin - Director

Mark Griffin began his career in England as a Building Services engineer working with an engineering contracting company before joining the Property Services Agency in 1986. Within this governmental organization Mark worked for the Museum and Art Galleries Group and the Courthouse Group. This was followed by a period in the Republic of South Africa with a large consulting engineering practice before returning to London as a senior engineer with a multi-disciplined consultancy group. In 1991 Mark joined Vos Partnership in Sydney working initially as a Senior Engineer before being appointed as an Associate. In 1999 with the formation of VOS Group Pty Limited Mark was appointed a Director.
Mark has been involved with the mechanical services design and documentation for a variety of project types ranging from aquatic and sport centres, hospital facilities, television broadcast studios, process control plants, large scale commercial office developments through to shopping centres and residential complexes. Mark is on the CIBSE ‘Your Building’ reviewer panel for the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council.
James Hunter - Director

Jim Hunter has practised hydraulic building services engineering for over 15 years. He commenced his career with a large consulting group in Sydney. Since then he has held senior design and management positions. In 1999 Jim was appointed Director of VOS Hydraulics Pty Limited (1999). Jim was a member of the executive committee and treasurer to the Association of Hydraulic Services Consultants Australia (AHSCA) 1999-2000.
During his career Jim has been associated with the design of hydraulic services and multi-disciplined engineering documentation, co-ordination and contract administration of substantial building projects both in Australia and Asia.
Inge Diamond - Senior Water Engineer
Qualifications: B.ENG Environmental(Hons) UNSW
Inge Diamond commenced her career working as an environmental engineer on Lord Howe Island. Inge has extensive experience in water and wastewater management, including investigation and design for on-site systems, large industrial sites, national parks, commercial buildings, and urban and recreational facilities.
Inge has coordinated water savings studies for several of Sydney’s largest water users under Sydney Water’s Every Drop Counts business program, and has a variety of experience in water policy, regulation compliance, integrated water cycle management, water harvesting, treatment and re-use options. Inge is involved in international aid work, including the design and procurement of water infrastructure for communities in developing countries.
Inge is a member of the Institute of Engineers Australia and Australian Water Association’s Young Water Professionals.
Christina Roman - Senior Environmental Engineer
Qualifications: B.ENG Environmental (Hons) UNSW, Green Star Accredited Professional
Christina Roman is a Environmental Engineer with over six years experience in design using water sensitive urban design (WSUD) principals, floodplain and catchment management, stormwater recycling and GIS. She completed her degree in Environmental Engineering with honours at the University of New South Wales, majoring in water. Christina was involved in the feasibility analysis of an ornamental lake at Penrith Panthers and the design of a water harvesting system at Penrith Stadium. Christina was also involved in preparing the Water Management Plan for Fairfield Council and identifying potential WSUD and flood management options for the Singapore Eastern Catchment Water Manager Project.
Christina’s key skills include design using Water Sensitive Urban Design principals (rainwater tanks, bioswales, grass swales, wetlands, infiltration devices, porous pavement, sand and other media filters, gross pollutant traps and roof gardens); Green Star Assessments and Water Quality Studies.;
Christina is a member of the Institute of Engineers Australia and the Green Building Council.
Stephen Askew - Senior Environmental Engineer
Qualifications: B.ENG (Environmental) Uni of Newcastle , Diploma Government Project Management, Green Star Accredited Professional
Stephen Askew commenced his career in project management working as a Project Officer for the NSW Department of Public Works and Services in the Newcastle Office. His role included providing Statement of Environmental Effects (SEE) for the Kurri Kurri TAFE Winery and Belmont TAFE constructions. He also completed monthly revenue reports for the project management group and implemented tree management plans and bushfire hazard reduction programs at several Hunter Institutes.
Stephen joined the NSW Department of Commerce, Government Architects Office as a Water Engineer undertaking water efficiency studies for several of Sydney’s largest water users under Sydney Water’s Every Drop Counts business program. He also worked closely with the DECC Environmental Sustainability group in the development of Water Saving Action Plans. His role entailed undertaking hydraulic investigations, analysing water usage and methods of water reduction and reuse in public and private buildings.
Stephen also undertook cross-sectional discussions with the architects to provide them with a strategy for implementing feasible best practice water efficient systems for new and existing buildings. These cross-sectional discussions involved assistance in developing Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) plans, dual reticulation systems, selecting water efficient fixtures and identifying non-potable water sources (bore water, rainwater, storm water, sewer mining and onsite recycling).
